On Saturday, September 30, 2006, dozens of quilters, young and old alike, gathered at Calais Regional Hospital with members of St. Croix International Quilters' Guild to create a very special snowball quilt.  Not only did they make enough blocks to complete one quilt, they had enough enthusiasm and extra nine-patch blocks to begin assembling a second quilt that will also be sent to Better Homes and Gardens and American Patchwork and Quilting magazine for their E-Bay auction to benefit the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation.
