Shop Hop—May 2, 2009
Official Shop Hop photographer, Christy
McIver (left) and her mother, Susan
who coordinated a fabulous bus tour of four GREAT Maine quilt shops.
Fifty-one quilters from 27 different towns
in eastern and northern Maine and Grand Manan, NB got together for a
visit to Sewing by the Sea in Trenton, NEW shop Pinwheels
Quilting in Skowhegan, The Fabric Garden in Madison, and
Stitches in Newport.

The "rowdies" on the back of the bus
It was fun to get to
know so many new people. We all enjoyed Sue's
games and activities and everyone went home with a prize. There
were four cash drawings (1 for each shop we visited) with 4 lucky
quilters each winning about $50 cash. There was also a drawing for
$18 to spend at Anglers Restaurant, and a grand prize drawing of a
gorgeous handmade basket made by Sue McIver, our shop hop coordinator. |
