Our Shop Hop included a Bangor's newest
quilt store, The Cotton Cupboard Quilt Shop, that was celebrating
its Grand Opening. Shirley, Pat, Liz, and Theresa taking chances on
the many door prizes |
Members didn't mind (too much) standing in
lines to buy quilting supplies at several of our stops
Sadly, we ran out of time and
didn't make it to Stitches Quilt Shop in Newport. A super
shop, we'll definitely go there next year.

In addition to these great
stores, we also visited JoAnn Fabrics in Bangor and one of our
favorite shops,
The Fabric Garden, in Madison; lunch at Governor's in Orono
and dinner at the Olive Garden in Bangor completed our day. |

Downeast Heritage Museum, Calais, Maine, March 10, 2007
St. Croix Quilters was in good company with
others collectors and hobbyists who displayed such things as
porcelain dolls, jackknives, stuffed wildlife and birds, salt & pepper

Stars Wars memorabilia, Maine license plates, Mad magazines and much more.
Our quilts were scattered throughout the Living
with the Land wing at the museum. |
