Lynda Coffey holds a knit afghan made in St. Stephen in 1942 by members of the I.O.D.E., who sent it overseas to a Canadian soldier.  Because the afghan had a label stating who and where the afghan had been made, the St. Stephen Chamber of Commerce was contacted by a gentleman in British Columbia who collected WWII memorabilia and had purchased it.  Once contacted, he shipped it back to the I.O.D.E. in St. Stephen.
