Show and Tell
February 2007

Back to Show & Tell Index Page

Show & Tell this month started earlier at a workshop and continued at the Business Meeting the middle of the month.  Lots of pictures, including more Smokey Mountain Stars, lots of new techniques (thanks to new members), bridesmaids' quilts, stack & whack, stained glass, samples of retreat workshop quilts and MUCH more!

Pictures of members who showed Hot Iron Caddies are on the Hot Iron Caddy Workshop page.

New member, Joanne Spencer, wowed us with her paper pieced quilt designed by Jinny Beyer

Joanne and another Jinny Beyer design―an off-set Log Cabin

When new member Mary Louise Peters (right) held up her Tropical Breeze quilt she warned, "It's bright!"
We thought it was beautiful!

Another bright and beautiful quilt is this Fabric Fling made by Cyril Francis in a Bonnie Hunter workshop

Liz Trouant brought Show & Tell to the February workshop; here she is with an original design, appliquéd motorcycles that feature Stack 'n Whack corners.

Eva Severance shows a rooster quilt she made at the Cat's Pajamas Workshop last fall.

Shirley Slauenwhite and her Stained Glass Cardinal

Jane Eaton and her sister get together at retreats to reconnect and to quilt.
Here she shows "Spring Sisters" a quilt they made last year.

Joanne Spencer shows a pretty Stack 'n Whack she started six years ago and hand quilted

Jen Lacasse shows Stack "n Whack pillows and lap quilts she made for her two sons

Jen Lacasse made another Stack 'n Whack―this time 6-pointed stars

REMEMBER―Stack 'n Whack designer, Bethany Reynolds, is coming to Calais June 2 to do a workshop!

Joline Cook learned how to paper piece at a recent

One of our younger members, Mary Anne Brown,
is being married in September.

Using Thimbleberries fabrics, she's making lap quilts as thank you gifts for each of her five bridesmaids.  Here she shows three.

Nothing more cozy than a flannel rag quilt;
this one was made by Shirley Slauenwhite

Liz Trouant showed a cuddly rag quilt.
