Water Chestnut Appetizers

Ingredients:

3 cans water chestnuts, drained
1 bottle soy sauce
1 lb. bacon
½ cup dark brown sugar
½ cup white sugar

Marinade water chestnuts in soy sauce in refrigerator overnight.

Wrap each water chestnut in piece of bacon and secure with wooden toothpick.  Cut large nuts in half before wrapping.

Roll wrapped nuts in sugar mixture.

Bake at 350° on rack in broiler pan 20-25 minutes.  Makes about 50.
