For the past several years,
members have been very generous in making and donating lap quilts for
residents of Calais Methodist Homes, where we hold our meetings.
Our annual
Lap Quilt Workshop, where members learned a new pattern and made lap quilts
was led by
Mary Anne Spearin, who showed us a new pattern, Take Five―five
fabulous fabrics, that is!
Members who attended had a chance to win free
machine quilting from Dana Bard of
Moose Island Quilting.
Participants
(who agreed to donate their quilts) were eligible for the drawing.
Five
winners were selected; they included
Theresa Wright, Jen Lacasse, Sandy Hill, Anita Johnson, and Joline Cook.
