with Bonnie Hunter, July 2008

Back to Workshops Index

This summer workshop was a quilting fiesta!
We made easy scrap quilts, listened to Salsa music, dined on chili,
and helped a local food pantry.

Everyone donated Mexican foods for the
Labor of Love Food Pantry in Eastport, ME

A few of the Fiesta quilts at Bonnie's workshop and they're all so different.  Sitting at her machine is Mary Smith.
Standing (l to r) Shirley Slauenwhite, Teresa Porter, Mary Anne O'Brien, and Anita Johnson.

Liz Trouant holds her "mile" of 3" strips

Anita tosses hers across the room

Anita and Mary Ann have lots of fun sewing strips together

Nancy Lucas presses dozens of seam allowances

Teresa adds another strip

Bonnie holds her Fiesta class sample

We all stop for a lunch of chili, salad, taco chips & salsa, and mango sorbet.   Mmmm good!

The following Fiesta quilts were shown during the Show & Tell session of our July and August Business Meetings:
