Thirteen members and guests met this month
to make Boxed Squares lap quilts―one of the easiest patterns
we ever made. Several who attended the workshop
will be giving quilts made today as Christmas gifts in December to
residents at Calais Methodist Homes, where we hold our meetings.
Dana Bard donated 5 free machine quilting for 5 members, who wish to
donate their quilts and entered the drawing. Winners of the free
machine quilting include: Lynda Coffey, Sandy Hill, Sharon Bala,
Shirley Slauenwhite, and JoAnna Good. St. Croix Quilters will
provide at no charge batting and backing for everyone who is donating
their Boxed Squares quilt.
