Unless otherwise noted, workshops and meetings take place at the Calais Methodist Homes Recreation Hall, Sunrise Circle, Palmer St., Calais, Maine (all times are US times).  Remember to pre-register and get a supply list for workshops you're interested in.

All workshops are open to the public as space permits; pre-registration is a must.

2019

July 17
Wednesday Business Meeting, 6 pm

Program will be Fusible Applique, blanket stitch, and other applique stitch techniques with Joline Cook.

We'll also have a 2-minute tip, Show & Tell, Fabric Drawing, and light refreshments.

August 3 Saturday Workshop, 9 am to 4 pm

Watermelon Picnic with Bonnie Hunter.  This easy scrap quilt by Teri Christopherson features simple log cabin blocks with appliqued seeds for a sweet finishing touch.  Or, you may want to choose to make a traditional log cabin using a variety of light and dark fabrics. 

Come to the workshop prepared to do some sewing, have a picnic lunch and enjoy lots of watermelon fun and prizes!  In addition, for every log cabin block you make at the workshop, you get a chance to win a picnic basket similar to the one pictured on the pattern.

August 7 Wednesday daytime workshop, 9 am to 3 pm

Feztival of Trees Open Sew for members who will be helping Mary Ann and Anita make homemade ornaments and gifts for St. Croix Quilters tree.  Contact one of them for further details. 
August 7 Wednesday evening workshop, 6-8 pm

Atlantic Flyway (Part 1) created by Deb Tucker will be taught by Bonnie Hunter and Joanne Spencer.  Using 2 workshops, a Wednesday in August and a Saturday in September, you will learn two new techniques for making Flying Geese (one using Deb's Wing Clipper I Ruler) while making a lovely wall quilt.  Atlantic Flyway is named for the migratory path of waterfowl, shorebirds, and songbirds of the North American East Coast.

August 21
Wednesday Business Meeting, 6 pm

Program will special guest, local Shriner, Jim Myers.  His group sponsors the annual Feztival of Trees.

We'll also have a 2-minute tip, Show & Tell, Fabric Drawing, and light refreshments.

September 4 Wednesday daytime workshop, 9 am to 4 pm   NOTE NEW TIME
