Unless otherwise noted, workshops and meetings take place at the Calais Methodist Homes Recreation Hall, Sunrise Circle, Palmer St., Calais, Maine (all times are US times).  Remember to pre-register and get a supply list for workshops you're interested in.

All workshops are open to the public as space permits; pre-registration is a must.

July 18

Wednesday Business Meeting, 6 pm

The program will be "To Starch or Not to Starch" with Joanne Spencer

Round Robin tinners are due this month for the "magical reveal."

We'll also have a 2-Minute Tip, Show & Tell, Fabric Drawing, and light refreshments.

August 1 Wednesday evening workshop 6-8 pm.

3D Embelishments
with Marina Towne.  If you like to add a 3D affect to a quilted wall hanging this workshop will demonstrate an easy method using Heat 'n Bond Ultra Hold iron-on adhesive.  We will make a small wall hanging (9" x 12") of a 3D hydrangea with 3D leaves.  Supply List     You Tube Tutorial
August 4 Saturday Workshop

Sewing Machine Know-How, Troubleshooting and Maintenance with Bob Numrych of The Cotton Cupoboard Quilt Shop in Bangor, 10 am to 12 noon. 

Summer Salad Pot Luck Lunch at 12 noon

September 8 Saturday Workshop, 8 am to about 3 pm (US time) 10 am to about 4 pm (Can. time)

Machine Quilting Using a Walking Foot with well-known quilter, Linda Hubbard of Fredericton.  Details and Supply List coming soon.  There will be a small charge for this class.  Supply List

Location has been changed from the Union Street Baptist Church to the River Room at the St. Croix Retirement Community in St. Stephen, NB.
September 5 Wednesday evening workshop 6-8 pm.

UFO Night 

For a couple of hours of uninterrupted sewing, help with a project PLUS lots of fun, join us for an evening playing catch up with a project of your own that needs a little extra time.
September 19

Wednesday Business Meeting, 6 pm

Tonight's program will be "Quilt Show Challenge Reveal"  Members will share their tips and tricks as they show off their creations that will be part of the challenge in our up-coming quilt show.

We'll also have a 2-Minute Tip, Show & Tell, Fabric Drawing, and light refreshments.

September 26 Quilt Show Drop-Off Day

If you have quilts you want displayed at our quilt show, this is the day to bring them to the Calais Congregational Church on Calais Avenue.  Make sure you have filled out a registration card for each piece and each item is listed on your inventory form.  Hours TBA.
September 27 Quilt Show Set-Up Day

If you have signed up for the quilt show set-up committee, your creativity and talent will be needed at the Calais Congregational Church on Calalis Avenue today.  Time TBA.

October 3 Wednesday evening workshop 6-8 pm

Chevron Table Runner with Bonnie Brown Hunter.  Designed by Vendulka Battais, this chevron table runner is easy to make and is a good beginner quilting projeect.  The pattern is the perfect quilting project for showcasing a large fabric print in the center.
