"Black and White" is the theme for the 2017 Block of
This is a fun way to
have others help you make blocks for a quilt.
Meanwhile, you will be helping fellow members do the same.
If you would like to participate:
Select a 12 ½"
unfinished quilt block pattern of your choice--pieced, applique,
paper pieced, any technique you like. However, let Mary Louise
Peters know the pattern you have selected so there are no
duplicates. (Her contact info is at the bottom of this page.)
Use only black and white fabrics, prints,
tone-on-tones, solids (no gray or creams, please).
Make quilt blocks using your selected
pattern and fabrics--one for each participant--so far there are
about 20 +/- members who have joined. Check with Mary Louise
for the exact number of blocks you will need to make.
It is important that all of your blocks are
Bring your completed blocks to the November '17 business meeting
when they will be distributed to participants.
You will go home with 20+/- different blocks to
put together in a setting of your choice. You may add other
blocks, other colors, as you desire.
