2017 Block of the Month

"Black and White" is the theme for the 2017 Block of the Month

This is a fun way to have others help you make blocks for a quilt.
Meanwhile, you will be helping fellow members do the same.

If you would like to participate:

  • Select a 12 " unfinished quilt block pattern of your choice--pieced, applique, paper pieced, any technique you like.  However, let Mary Louise Peters know the pattern you have selected so there are no duplicates.  (Her contact info is at the bottom of this page.)

  • Use only black and white fabrics, prints, tone-on-tones, solids (no gray or creams, please).

  • Make quilt blocks using your selected pattern and fabrics--one for each participant--so far there are about 20 +/- members who have joined.  Check with Mary Louise for the exact number of blocks you will need to make.

  • It is important that all of your blocks are identical.

  • Bring your completed blocks to the November '17 business meeting when they will be distributed to participants.

  • You will go home with 20+/- different blocks to put together in a setting of your choice.  You may add other blocks, other colors, as you desire.
